Organizational Behaviour 2600-DSMw2ZO
This course introduces key concepts of organizational behavior, focusing on individual, group, and organizational dynamics in contemporary workplaces. Students examine evolving employee–organization relationships, including the gig economy and psychological contracts. The course develops competencies in interpersonal communication, covering feedback, communication models, and barriers. It explores motivational processes, with emphasis on autonomous motivation and achievement orientation. Issues of organizational participation, engagement, stress, burnout, and workplace misconduct are addressed. Students analyze group behavior, team cohesion, leadership, and risks such as groupthink. The course also covers conflict dynamics and negotiation strategies, as well as creativity and problem solving in managerial contexts. Finally, it supports self-awareness in career development, including locus of control and professional growth.
