The course is structured around six modules, designed to help address the main research question in international management: what are the sources of success and failure for companies in international markets?

Student upon completion of the course:
in terms of knowledge:
• utilizes terminology from the field of corporate management. (S2_W01)
• recognize the specifics, principles, procedures, and practices related to the operations of international enterprises, their key functions (operations, marketing, finance, human resource management), and their relationships with the external environment. (S2_W02)
• identify globalization processes and phenomena affecting the functioning of international enterprises. (S2_W05)
in terms of skills:
• analyzes the impact of cultural differences and cultural distance on the management of international enterprises, including adaptation processes. (S2_U02)
• prepares an linguistic autobiography analyzing key challenges in managing multinational corporations, employing advanced methods, appropriate source selection, and information and communication techniques to diagnose and solve problems related to their functioning in global markets. (S2_U03)
• organizes individual and team work while performing tasks related to discussed case studies during classes. (S2_U07)
• independently addresses the topic of using a foreign language in a corporate environment (S2_U08)
in terms of social competences:
• promotes openness to cultural diversity within corporations. (S2_K04)
• appreciates the role of ethical standards and actions promoting transparency and integrity in relationships with international partners. (S2_K05)
Assessment criteria
The learning outcomes will be continuously assessed through tasks completed by participants during the seminar sessions and, at the end, through a seminar assessment (test) and an essay.

A total of 100 points can be earned during the seminar, determining the final grade:
0-50 points – Grade 2
51-60 points – Grade 3
61-70 points – Grade 3.5
71-80 points – Grade 4
81-90 points – Grade 4.5
91-100 points – Grade 5
