1. The basic idea on Information Technology in management
2. The origin and development of Information Technology
3. Characteristics of Information Technology in management by the development of a logical architecture (Transaction Processing Systems, Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Expert Systems, Executive Information Systems and Executive Support Systems, Artificial Intelligence Systems, BI Systems),
4. Characteristics of Information Technology by the degree and extent of integration (IC, MRP, MRP II, ERP, ERP II - CRM, SCM, eERP systems
5. Characteristics of Information Technology by developing networks: private networks, commercial networks, the Internet:
5.1. The place and role of the network in economic development
5.2. e-Business - definitions, typology, and development tools
5.3. E-Banking - definitions, typology, and development tools
6. Statistics on the development of Information Technology in Poland and all around the world
Type of course
Learning outcomes
1. The student has ordered, encouraged by a general theoretical knowledge covering key issues in the field of information technology, in particular, can explain the relationship between different types of systems, is able to characterize different forms of information technology, to identify their main advantages and shortcomings, and have knowledge of the basic properties of e-business e-banking
2. In terms of skills - students can acquire information from literature, databases and other carefully selected sources of information technologies and their use in the economy and is able to integrate the information, make their interpretation, as well as draw conclusions and formulate and justify opinions and can communicate with using a variety of techniques in a professional environment and other environments.
3. In terms of social competence - student understands the need for lifelong learning; able to inspire and organize the learning process of others.

One-choice test 90%, active participation in class 10%
