The course content includes the following areas:
• Fundamental analysis (i.e., country analysis, industry analysis)
• Company situational analysis (i.e., market position, market share, sales analysis - nominal and real growth, seasonality, sales markets, profitability analysis - costs, profit, investment profitability analysis, market and economic value added analysis, comparative analysis)
• Analysis of stock market indices and specific issues (analysis of companies in reorganization and liquidation, analysis of private companies and companies with low trading volume, analysis of venture capital fund investments).

Upon completion of the course, the student will have achieved the following:
Knowledge
• S_W01 – The student has in-depth knowledge of the research methodology and terminology in the field of economics and finance, particularly concerning fundamental analysis.
• S_W02 – The student knows and understands complex economic, social, and technological processes and their impact on the financial performance of companies, the situation of industries, and entire economies in the context of fundamental analysis.
• S_W03 – The student knows the principles of creating and developing various forms of entrepreneurship, including publicly traded companies, private companies, and venture capital funds, and understands their importance in fundamental analysis.
Skills
• S_U01 – The student is able to use economic and financial theory to identify, diagnose, and solve investment problems based on the fundamental analysis of companies, industries, and countries.
• S_U02 – The student is able to interpret complex economic, social, and legal processes and assess their impact on the financial condition of companies and industries within the framework of fundamental analysis.
• S_U03 – The student is able to formulate and test research hypotheses regarding company value, investment profitability, and the attractiveness of industries and markets, using fundamental analysis methods.
• S_U04 – The student is able to propose solutions to investment problems under conditions of uncertainty, based on the results of fundamental analysis (e.g., for companies in reorganization, with low trading volume, or venture capital entities).
• S_U05 – The student is able to independently and collaboratively prepare fundamental analysis reports for companies, industries, and countries, and present them effectively to diverse audiences using IT tools.
