The lecture is an overview of selected issues oforganizational behavior important for the effectiveness,cooperation and well-being of individuals, teams andorganizations understood as a social entity.

Knowledge: after completing the subject, the student
• is able to indicate metaphors reflecting selected
theories/approaches of organization and the
resulting understanding of the essence of the
organization, its main social processes and the role
and key attitudes and skills expected from members
(leaders and employees) of the organization,
• knows the main theories of motivation at work and
is able to indicate the recommendations resulting
from them in the field of conditions of work,
defining tasks and goals as well as providing
feedback and rewards,
• can identify the main leadership theories and select
the resulting recommendations for his/her own
development as a leader
• knows selected models and typologies of
organizational culture and is able to assess various
organizational cultures in terms of their fit to his/her
own value system, preferred relationships and operating styles.
• understands the dynamics of organizational changeand people's reactions to changes, is able to indicaterecommendations resulting from selectedchange/change management models
