Learning outcomes
In terms of knowledge:
- The student recognizes and lists the basic physical and psychological needs of a dog and understands the psychological problems that can result from unmet needs.
- The student describes common behavioral disorders and psychological problems in dogs.
- The student identifies and describes methods for preventing issues and basic therapeutic techniques for dogs.
In terms of skills:
- The student can conduct a behavioral interview.
- The student can diagnose a problem.
- The student can select appropriate therapeutic methods and collaborate with veterinarians regarding supplementation and pharmacotherapy.
In terms of social competencies:
- The student can establish a positive relationship with the dog's caretaker and motivate them to implement the recommended changes.
