"The purpose of the seminar is to present the following areas of application of health psychology:
- coping with stress
- health education
- adaptation process to chronic somatic disease
- analysis of the dynamics of habits not conducive to maintaining health
- the importance of attachment to a pet for a level of well-being.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge:
The student has knowledge about psychological, social and cultural factors conditioning human functioning in a situation of illness. (K_W08, K_W09, K_W10, K_W11)
The student knows the areas of application of psychology in medicine and health promotion. (K_W01)
The student knows the directions and methods of scientific research conducted in the field of health psychology. (K_W12)

Skills:
The student has the ability to analyze and plan scientific research according to modern standards in the field of health psychology, as well as in accordance with the principles of ethics. (K_U03, K_U04, K_U05, K_U07)

Competences:
The student is able to plan activities that promote a healthy lifestyle, and to plan a scientific evaluation of the effects of activities undertaken in this area. (K_K03)
The student is aware of the need to apply ethical and methodological standards at scientific research and popularizing of scientific knowledge
