Term 2023L:
The course is devoted to the presentation of the basic phenomena in psychotherapy of children and adolescents. Various schools of child and adolescent psychotherapy will be presented, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and humanistic (non-directive therapy based on play, Gestalt approach). Therapeutic methods based on mentalization and mindfulness will also be discussed. Particular attention will be paid to working with parents and their role in the process of treating their children. We will make a critical assessment of selected elements of the theory in terms of their usefulness in clinical work and psychotherapy of children and adolescents. The theoretical theses will be illustrated with the presentation of clinical material from the clinical practice of the teachers and enriched with practical exercises. |
