The lecture is an introduction in the issues of clinical child psychology, understood as a discipline both theoretical and applied. The selected theories of development of disorders of mental functioning in children will be presented. The main point of reference is the relational paradigm, that takes into account the mechanisms of development and the mechanisms of formation of disorders in terms of relationships both intrapsychic and interpersonal, and within the context of child's own activity. Various classification systems will be presented, including ICD-10, DSM-5, PDM-2, and DC:0-5. Clinical vignettes and case studies will be presented. |

- The student has the knowledge about the development of psychopathology in terms of different theories
- She or he knows the systems of classification of mental disorders in clinical psychology of children
- The student understands the difficulties concerning the diagnosis of mental functioning of the child, his or hers parents and their relationship
- She or he can compare different theories describing the development and the genesis of mental disorders of the child in his or hers relationship with the caregivers
- The student identifies the psychopathology, can explain the mechanisms of the disorder by using the theoretical knowledge
