Once the course is completed, students will be able to:
 Identify and define the various types of qualitative methods and analysis, their similarities and differences.
 Operationalize key topics of qualitative research under empirical investigation.
 Identify differences between theory-driven and data-driven qualitative research and practice both ways of analyzing qualitative material.
 Identify and define mixed methods and advantages / disadvantages of integrative methodological framework.
 Define triangulation and practice triangulation approach in mixed-methods research.
 Use principles of qualitative research to design interviews and focus groups.
 Analyze qualitative data using thematic analysis.
 Analyze qualitative data using quantification methods.
 Report results in APA format and present qualitative and mixed-methods findings in academic journal format.
 Use open science framework as repository of qualitative and mixed-methods data.
 Summarize and criticize qualitative and mixed-methods analyses and comparing them with other social research methods.
