Cognitive processes II 2500-PL-PS-OB2Z-1
The lectures encompass basic problems of learning and memory psychology. They consist in an introduction to traditional and contemporary directions in memory and learning research. Main research paradigms, empirical findings and theories are presented. Issues in memory and learning are discribed in their relation to other cognitove processes, as well as in the context of the influence of different variables (among others emotional and contextual), neurophysiological basis of memory and learning are also taken into account. The functioning of memory in everyday life is also a point of interest.
