Upon completing the course, students will
- in terms of knowledge:
- be able to present the relations between the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects of language
- possess organized knowledge on language competence and communicative competence (components, manifestations, limitations)
- in terms of skills:
- be able to present the relations linking language to cognition and culture
- be able to provide arguments as to the impact of bilingualism on cognitive development
- in terms of other competences:
- understand the need for lifelong learning (e.g. learning other languages, including sign language)
- be responsible for their words
