Term 2023L:

In the first part of the course students will be introduced to the field of online psychological interventions:

- the history of the development of therapeutic and online research methods
- the possibilities of online interventions, application and research on effectiveness
- limitations of online interventions, ethical issues and methodological difficulties
- the topic of participant engagement

In the second part of the course, students will design their own interventions and research projects, and give feedback together.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge
After the course, students
- know the history of the development of the field of online interventions and are familiar with the basic concepts and methods
- understand the opportunities and limitations of online psychological interventions
- are familiar with current research findings on the effectiveness and application of online psychological interventions
- understand the challenges of online interventions
Skills
After the class, students are able to
- critically analyze longitudinal studies of online interventions
- create an online psychological intervention
- plan a study of the effectiveness of an online intervention
