This course has not yet been described...
Term 2023L:
At any given moment, our brain processes a vast amount of information, a significant portion of which is analyzed beyond our conscious awareness. This information has a substantial impact on our functioning. The aim of this seminar is to present the psychological and neurobiological mechanisms underlying such processes. During the sessions, we will discuss the influence of unconscious information on cognitive processes and valuation in a social context. As part of the classes, students will be asked to prepare a presentation based on literature illustrating one of the effects discussed in the sessions. Additionally, they will be required to conduct a small study, which will serve as the basis for further discussion during the classes. After each thematic section, students will have the opportunity to test their knowledge with quizzes summarizing the discussed topics. The classes will conclude with an exam. The final grade will consist of 20% for the presentation conducted during the classes, 20% for quizzes summarizing individual topics, and 60% for the exam conducted at the end of the classes. |
