My psychological development through the film 2500-PL-PS-FO-25
This course has not yet been described...
Term 2023L:
Over the last half-century, film has ceased to be treated only as an aesthetic phenomenon and a separate field of art, and has begun to be analyzed as an important socio-cultural phenomenon that not only film scholars have become interested in. In particular, there have been many studies in psychology showing the role of film in improving developmental disorders in children and adolescents, as well as the effectiveness of this medium in psychotherapy in adults. Recently, psychologists have started to be interested in the use of film not only in the context of reducing broadly understood "deficits" in people, but also in a positive perspective, i.e. supporting the development of personality and strength of character, increasing empathy, promoting reflection and finally searching for the meaning of life. The aim of this course will be to analyze the subjectively selected films by the teacher in the latter context, i.e. broadly understood support in human mental development in its selected aspects. Thanks to this, students will not only expand their film studies knowledge, but will also have the opportunity to better understand their psychological development, including their own psychobiography through film. |
