Statistics II 2500-EN-PS-OB2Z-2
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with managing data from research, analyzing them using SPSS software, interpreting results of analyses and reporting them. Thus, there will be provided knowledge and skills allowing to conduct own research, as well as understanding research reports written by others (e.g., in journals, theses). The course will take place in computer lab and will be practice oriented, but necessary knowledge will be presented prior to work with computer. Different statistical tests will be presented in the context of specific hypotheses being tested and study designs, allowing to apply the skills to real research situations. Knowledge and skills acquired during this course are essential to conduct own research necessary to write empirical and master theses, amongst others.
