Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, a student should be able to:
● Characterize the parental role within the framework of various
psychological theories (psychodynamic, behavioral-cognitive,
systemic).
● Describe the parental tasks in each of the mentioned theories.
● Determine the mechanisms of parental influence on the child
according to the mentioned theoretical approaches.
● Enumerate the tasks and challenges faced by parents of children at
different ages.
● Describe the specificity of performing parental roles in specific
familial contexts.
● Explain how the developmental needs of an adult are intewined in
experiencig self as a parent.
● Describe the good practices in supporting adults in their parental
roles
