Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, a student should be able to:
- construct a basic psychodynamic case formulation,
- identify and address transference and countertransference in clinical interactions, -
recognize resistance and explain its defensive function,
- apply psychodynamic concepts to understand patients’ difficulties,
- formulate and communicate preliminary psychodynamic hypotheses,
- demonstrate core consultation skills in simulated sessions,
- give and receive constructive feedback, demonstrating reflective awareness of one’s own
clinical responses and interpersonal impact.
