Learning outcomes
After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:
Describe the macro- and microscopic organization of the central and peripheral nervous systems and interpret basic brain images.
Identify and explain the structure and function of major components of the central nervous system.
Explain the organization and functional pathways of the main sensory and motor systems.
Analyze the anatomical basis of selected neurological disorders by linking clinical symptoms to affected brain regions and neural connections.
Apply acquired knowledge in practical exercises (e.g., identifying structures, solving functional neuroanatomy problems, interpreting case-based materials).
Critically discuss how human functional neuroanatomy informs cognitive neuroscience research and supports the development of computational models and artificial neural networks.
