3. Economics of Network Goods: demand, pricing and compatibility.
4. Platform growth: solving the Chicken-and-Egg Problem, trust and envelopment.
5. Platform pricing: network effects and optimal pricing in monopoly, competition and by social planner
6. Platforms and public policy: platform accountability for illegal content, content moderation and risk management; fair competition and market contestability, self preferencing, data pooling and interoperability.

Successful completion of the course provides a foundation for both theoretical and practical analysis of contemporary platform markets, based on a solid grounding in economic theory.
