Course plan:
1. Designing charts and infographics. Choosing the type of chart. Errors in conveying information.
2. Principles of presentation design. Best practices, common mistakes.
3. Practical exercises in Tableau:
• Preparing data for use in the programme.
• Data sources and database linking.
• Creating basic tables, charts, and diagrams.
• Formatting tables, charts, and diagrams.
• Sorting, filtering, creating groups, creating sets, adding parameters.
• Creating interactive tables, charts, and diagrams.
• Creating and formatting interactive Dashboards.
• Creating and formatting interactive Stories.
4. Working on the final project.
This is an introductory course designed to equip students with basic skills in data visualisation and data storytelling using Tableau. Students are required to use their OWN LAPTOPS during the classes.

Assessment criteria
The requirement for passing the course is to create the content and design a Story in Tableau that fulfills the given specifications. Additionally, three homework assignments will contribute to the final assessment.
