An introduction to Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform 2400-SP-EXCEL-MPP
The aim of the course is to familiarise participants with the architecture and features of the Microsoft 365 platform, as well as the basic components of the Power Platform. The training focuses on presenting the capabilities of cloud-based tools such as OneDrive and SharePoint, and on the effective use of Outlook and Teams. In the context of the Power Platform, participants will gain a basic understanding of the applications of Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI, as well as the business value of these tools.

✓ Microsoft 365 and Power Platform architecture
An overview of licences, technical requirements and the working environment.
✓ Basic Microsoft 365 tools and security features
Basic tools and Copilot in Microsoft 365. MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) and Microsoft Entra – solutions for secure use of Microsoft 365 tools.
✓ Microsoft 365 cloud services
OneDrive vs SharePoint – differences, work organisation, file sharing. SharePoint – creating pages, managing groups, organising the work environment.
✓ Effective management of communication and collaboration
Outlook and Teams – planning, message management, team organisation and integration with other tools.
✓ Power Platform basics
The role of Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI in business contexts. Integration of the Power Platform with Microsoft 365.

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the training, participants will understand the architecture and capabilities of the Microsoft 365 platform and the core Power Platform tools. They will learn how to organise their working environment in SharePoint by creating sites and managing groups. They will be able to use OneDrive and SharePoint to share and store files, and will know how to manage messages effectively and organise teams in Outlook and Teams. They will gain a basic understanding of Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI, and understand their business applications. They will also learn about fundamental security concepts in Microsoft 365, such as MFA and identity management with Microsoft Entra.
Assessment criteria
An independent assessment task to be completed by the participant upon course completion. A minimum score of 50% is required to pass.
