The Master’s seminar “Education and the Labour Market: Advanced Data Analysis” aims to deepen theoretical knowledge and develop advanced empirical skills in the fields of labour economics and the economics of education. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of quantitative research methods and micro- and macroeconomic analysis of the relationships between education and labour market outcomes.

• human capital theories, educational decisions and their labour market consequences,
• identifying research problems related to labour markets and education,
• reviewing the literature and sources of empirical data (Statistics Poland, Local Data Bank, Labour Force Survey, OECD, Eurostat, ILO),
• the structure of a Master’s thesis and academic writing standards,
• presentations and discussions of thesis outlines and research plans.
Semesters II and III
Individual meetings focus on:
• discussing and refining the theoretical foundations of the thesis,
• presenting and critically analysing the literature review,
