Econometric methods in economic research 2400-PLSM114C
During the first semester, classes are aimed at preparing Students to define the subject of the thesis, formulating the goal, asking research questions and hypotheses. Databases that can be used in master's theses and the literature databases are presented. The stages of research work and the structure of the master's thesis are also discussed. Students study the literature on their own and present it at the seminar, as well as get acquainted with the databases. At the end of the semester Students know the most important articles of the subject literature, have a preliminary research plan (method and source data) and a draft work outline. In the second semester, students describe the subject literature. In the third semester, the aim of the seminar is to conduct an econometric study planned in the first semester and to write the whole work. The seminars are intended primarily for individual consultations of master's theses. Once a month at the seminar, all students present their progress in the study
