Demographic Aspects in Economic Modeling 2400-PLSM074C
The aim of the seminar is to prepare students to create a master's thesis. The subjects of the theses are chosen by students from a broad spectrum of economic models (at the micro- and macro level), in which demographic variables are taken into account (or modeled). In particular, the subject of MA theses may be:
1. Economic modeling of migration processes - both at the level of individual decisions and at the aggregate level;
2. The influence of families on functioning of the labor market;
3. The effect of fertility on the level of wages of women and men;
4. The consequences of population aging for the labor market, pension systems, etc.
