• Students are able to identify and explain the fundamental determinants of economic growth.
• Students are able to demonstrate knowledge of how to prepare academic papers, conduct economic research, and present research findings.

• The student is able to carry out an in-depth analysis of a selected economic problem, making use of both qualitative and quantitative analytical tools.
• Students are able to present their analysis and reasoning in the form of a scholarly article.

• Students are able to prepare and deliver a public presentation of an assigned problem.
• Students are aware of the complexity of the consequences of public sector policies.
Assessment criteria
The credit for the first semester is awarded on the basis of the student’s submitted bachelor’s thesis plan and a short paper addressing a selected issue to be examined in the thesis.
The credit for the second semester is awarded upon submission of the completed bachelor’s thesis.
Bibliography
The literature will be selected according to the individual research interests of the students.
