The class schedule includes the following topics:
1) basics of strategic management,
2) quantitative methods in strategic analysis,
3) using SWOT analysis for strategy building,
4) types of strategies in public and private institutions,
5) principles of formulating strategic goals,
6) option analysis and scenario analysis,
7) performance measures of the strategy,
8) strategy maps,
9) measuring the implementation of the strategy,
10) measurement of the implementation of functional strategies of the organization,
11) stakeholders, statistical, and non-statistical methods of sampling,
12) application of quantitative methods and selected tools in strategic management: parametric methods, histogram, Pareto-Lorenz diagram, correlation graph, control sheet, flowchart, relationship diagram,
13) non-parametric methods in the implementation of the strategy,
14) methods for evaluating the implementation of the strategy,
15) counterfactual methods, including: difference-in-difference, propensity score matching, discontinuity design, pipeline approach,
16) quantitative risk assessment methods used in practice.

• The student knows the principles of strategic management in public and private institutions,

• The student knows what types of methods can be used to assess the implementation of particular types of strategies,
• The student knows the methodology of strategy evaluation,

• The student can build a strategy of a public or private institution,
• The student has the ability to apply appropriate research methods to evaluate the implementation of the strategy,
• The student has the ability to create and interpret measures of strategy implementation in a complex environment,
Social competences - attitudes:
• Student is able to communicate the role of applying quantitative methods to strategic management in public and private sector institutions,
• The student expresses his acceptance for the application of methods for measuring the implementation of the strategy,
• The student is willing to apply quantitative methods in strategic management in order to ensure the implementation of the main objectives and organizational objectives of the institution.

Assessment criteria
The condition for passing the subject is presenting the final project's work, as well as performing any tasks within the teamwork during the classess (eg solving case studies)
Completing the subject "Quantitative methods in strategic management" requires preparing a project in a team of people. Compliance with the methodology, commitment of all team members as well as the complexity of the project will be assessed. Additionally, passing the subject requires active participation in the work during the classes. During the classes the attendance is obligatory (two unexcused absences in a semester are allowed).
