Empirical Economic Analysis 2400-ENSM048C
During the seminar, students will acquire the ability to use theoretical concepts to explain the phenomena occurring in the economy and proving economic issues using economic data.
The seminar covers the most important and interesting issues related to the functioning of the global economy. The main theme will be the determinants affecting the volume of production (including economic fluctuations and growth), unemployment, and inflation and other economic phenomena in general, examined from the perspective of both the short and the long run.

Student knows how to formulate an important research goal, put scientific hypotheses, collect relevant theoretical and empirical literature, collect empirical data, select the appropriate method of analysis and apply it, draw conclusions from the study and critically comment on them.
The student knows what the rules for preparation of papers, thesis and other written work, how to achieve the correct design and formal (compliance with the standards of scientific papers, respecting the requirements of copyright)
Student is able to state the purpose of research, put scientific hypotheses, collect relevant theoretical and empirical literature, collect empirical data, select the appropriate method of analysis and apply it, draw conclusions from the study and critically comment on them.
Students can write a thesis, factually correct and formally (concise, standards-scientific, terminologically correct, preserving the requirements of copyright). Able to write another work written respecting the above. rules.
Student is able to acquire data and search for information needed in preparing academic work on a given topic using the Internet, library catalogs, etc. The student is able to formulate research questions and problems and justify their relevance in relation to literature. Students can prepare a paper with attention to the formal site compatible with writing research papers and dissertations.
Student knows how to properly formulate priorities in work and resolve the dilemmas associated with the performance of professional tasks.
The student is aware of the opportunities offered by the use of information technologies to solve typical problems of economic analysis. He understands the need to continuously deepen his knowledge and skills in this area.

Assessment criteria
The thesis presented by the future graduate Bachelor are assessed according to the rules adopted by the Faculty (available on the faculty’s webpage).
