1/Explanation of the basic components of a master thesis and of the possible approaches and methodologies of preparing and writing it up.
2/Choice by each student of his/hers area of scientific interest.
3/Selection and study of literature on theory and empirical research related to the chosen area of scientific enquiry.
4/Preparation of thesis conspectus, consisting of a working title of the thesis, the aim of the thesis, suggested research hypotheses, and finally the outline, in point form, of the theoretical and empirical chapters of the thesis.
5/Presentation of selected fragments of absorbed literature and own empirical research during the seminar.
6/Submission for review by thesis supervisor of drafts of completed thesis chapters.
7/Submission for review by thesis supervisor of the draft of the complete master thesis.
8/Incorporation of supervisor feedback in the thesis draft.
9/Approval by supervisor of the corrected, complete final draft of the master thesis.

Learning outcomes
After following the seminar each student will have had completed his master thesis in written form. This means that each student can identify a research problem, conduct an in-depth analysis of relevant literature and chose an appropriate research method, can formulate research hypotheses and implement a process of their verification, can discuss findings and draw conclusions, pointing at the same time to their limitations and to possible avenues of future research.
