Bachelor's Thesis Seminar is directed to 3rd year students, who would like to write a thesis devoted to the analysis of education systems and economy. The seminar starts with introductory classes devoted to the presentation of theories and results of most important empirical studies in economics of education the methodology of economic research and the rules for preparing and submitting bachelor theses. The basic are also presented. Topics include cost‐benefit analysis of education, the signaling vs. human capital debate, race and gender issues in education, education production functions and financing education at the elementary, secondary, and post‐secondary levels. Later during the course students receive guidance in selecting a topic for the thesis. For example, the thesis can be devoted to a particular country or it can cover a cross section of different countries.
In 1st semester students are preparing and presenting the preliminary outline of the bachelor thesis. In 2nd semester students are preparing the bachelor thesis. During first month of semester presentation of science article are required.

Assessment criteria
In 1st semester students are preparing and presenting the preliminary outline of the bachelor thesis. In 2nd semester students are preparing the bachelor thesis. During first month of semester presentation of science article are required.
