Interdisciplinary Creative Projects 2300-S2-PAE-IPT
The course focuses on the following topics:
1. Contemporary project-based practices in arts education, alternative education, and cultural animation.
2. Educational and community-based projects as tools for social change, inclusion, and community development.
3. Identifying and analyzing the needs of a selected institution, community, or target group.
4. Assessing the resources and potential of partner institutions and local environments.
5. Defining project objectives and selecting target audiences.
6. Designing educational, artistic, and participatory activities.
7. Developing project schedules and allocating responsibilities within a project team.
8. Collaborating with educational institutions, cultural organizations, and community partners.
9. Managing creative processes and addressing challenges that emerge during project implementation.
10. Documenting project activities and outcomes.
11. Implementing educational and artistic interventions in community settings.
12. Evaluating projects using qualitative and participatory approaches.
13. Analyzing project outcomes and formulating recommendations for future practice.
14. Public presentation of project outcomes and critical reflection on collaborative learning and project implementation.

Learning outcomes
In terms of knowledge, the student knows and understands:
- the principles of project-based learning and their significance for arts education and alternative education;
- contemporary models of arts education, cultural animation, and community-based education;
- the principles of planning, implementing, and evaluating educational and artistic projects;
- the role of cultural institutions, educational organizations, and community partners in the development of educational initiatives;
- the importance of collaboration, participation, and co-creation in educational and community-based projects;
- methods of documenting and disseminating the outcomes of educational and artistic projects.
In terms of skills, the student is able to:
- identify and analyze the needs of a selected target group, community, or institution;
- design educational and artistic activities that respond to identified needs;
- develop original educational and creative projects;
- collaborate effectively with external partners during project implementation;
- organize teamwork and take responsibility for specific project tasks;
- implement educational and artistic activities using diverse pedagogical and creative methods;
- document project processes and prepare materials presenting project outcomes;
- evaluate projects and use evaluation findings to improve future practice;
- present project outcomes to a variety of audiences.
In terms of social competences, the student is ready to:
- actively engage in initiatives benefiting local communities and educational environments;
- take responsibility for decisions made during collaborative project work;
- build relationships based on cooperation, dialogue, and mutual respect;
- respond creatively and flexibly to changing project conditions;
- recognize the importance of arts education in the development of individuals and communities;
- critically reflect on their own project activities and their social consequences;
- initiate and co-create innovative educational and cultural projects.
Assessment criteria
Successful completion of the course requires active participation in all stages of the group project.
