(in Polish) Psychologia twórczości 2300-S2-MTPEA-PT
This course delves into the psychology of creativity, exploring both cognitive mechanisms behind creative thinking and external influences which can impact the process. Drawing from foundational works by Nęcka (1995, 2001) and Tokarz (1991, 2005), we will analyze the dynamics of the creative process, identifying both its stimulators and inhibitors. Students will engage with key psychological theories, including those addressing human biases, environmental factors, and social influences on creativity (Amabile, 1982, 2012). The course will also explore the intersection of creativity and neuroscience (Beaty et al., 2019; Fink et al., 2007), providing insights into how creative cognition can be understood and measured. Finally, the practical aspects of fostering creativity in educational and organizational settings will be examined, considering the distinctions between teaching creatively and teaching for creativity (Jeffrey & Craft, 2004; Livingston, 2010).
