Professional internship at an extracurricular activity center 2300-S2-MAD-PZ
Professional internships at extracurricular activities are designed to develop students' professional competencies in the real-world environment of extracurricular activities. Internships are conducted in selected non-governmental organizations (NGOs), local activity centers (CAL, MAL, CAS), and community centers. Their goal is to enable students to learn about the specific operations of these institutions and gain experience in conducting animation, educational, and social activities.
During the internship, students become familiar with the organization of a given institution, its structure, documentation, statutory goals, and ongoing projects. They observe activities carried out for community groups and participate in selected activities. After consulting with the internship supervisor, they prepare and implement their own educational activities – most often in the form of workshops, local events, or animation activities.
The internship fosters the development of teamwork skills, communication with audiences, planning activities, documenting, and evaluating them. Participants learn to analyze their own activities, evaluate their effectiveness, and utilize tools for pedagogical reflection. The internship prepares them to function consciously in alternative and non-formal education environments. To pass the course, students must submit a certificate of completion of the internship, maintain documentation, and prepare a report documenting the experience gained. The course addresses Standard D.2 – Professional Internships.
