Educational activities in science centers 2300-S2-MAD-DE
During the classes, participants learn about the process of preparing and conducting educational activities in science centers. The aim of the classes is to deepen students' knowledge and skills in the field of animation and informal education by familiarizing them with the specifics of an educator's work in science centers.
The classes consist of three areas:
- the first area of the classes concerns the most important assumptions related to the preparation and conduct of various forms of educational activities in science centers;
- the second area is familiarization with good practices (including study visits);
- the third area is workshop-based and serves to develop, in groups, scenarios for short educational activities that could be implemented in science centers.

Learning outcomes
In terms of knowledge, the student knows and understands:
- the student knows the basic forms of classes conducted in science centers;
- the student knows examples of good practices in the field of education in science centers;
In terms of skills, the student is able to:
- design short educational classes to be conducted in science centers;
- conduct self-analysis and critique of completed activities.
In terms of social competences, the student is ready to:
- take a reflective approach to their own knowledge and skills, and develop them in response to changes in science education and animation;
- plan educational and animation activities in science centers, taking into account specialist and interdisciplinary knowledge;
- actively participate in social and cultural life, with an emphasis on clear and polite communication.
Assessment criteria
- attendance and participation during classes;
- preparation and presentation of a lesson plan for a selected group of science center visitors (group task).
