The Sexual Problems of Adolescence 2300-PSWR-OG
Aims: Passing on the basic knowledge on sexuological problems of the period of puberty, presenting the students the attitudes towards sexual education and sexual pathologies and HIV/AIDS related issues; informing students of the forms and methods of sexual education, help in gaining competences and skills needed to change personal lifestyles.
Contents of the classes:
1.Erotic development in particular periods of human life: · Erotic development of a child·Eroticism of the puberty period,· Eroticism of the adolescent period.
2.Human psychosexual development·psychosexual development according to Freud Z.,· phases of sexual development according to Ericson,·phases of sexual development according to Offera and Simona,·sexual development according to Kernberg.
3.Sexuological problems of girls in the puberty period.·Symptoms of puberty·Disturbing symptoms of puberty for girls·A visit at the gynecologist·Sexuological problems of girls during puberty.
4.Sexuological problems of boys during puberty.·Symptoms of puberty,·Disturbing symptoms of puberty for boys·Sexual drive·Sexuological problems of boys in the puberty period.
5.Signs, conditions and results of sexual initiation of youth.·Signs and conditions of sexual initiation,·effects of early sexual initiation.
6.Homosexuality as sexual orientation.·Sexual orientation· Attitudes towards homosexual persons
7.Signs, conditioning and prophylactics of sexual pathologies. Children and sexuality-related dangers, and ways of prevention·Signs of sexual pathologies·Factors conditioning the incidence of sexual pathologies. ·Children and sexuality-related dangers·Ways of preventing sexual violence against children
8.Sexual education at different educational levels ·Programs and didactical aids in realization of the pathway: pro-family education in ground schools, junior high, vocational schools and high schools. ·pro-family and sexual education in higher education
9.Youth as special risk group in HIV transmission and development of the AIDS disease ·Medical, legal, psychological and social problems of HIV/AIDS (ways of transmission, mechanism, symptoms and effects),·Epidemiology of HIV/AIDS.
10.Prophylactics of risky behavior of youth ·Polish research on HIV/AIDS-related issues,·Prophylactics of risky behaviors
11.Social campaigns in the HIV/AIDS prophylactics ·Media in HIV/AIDS prophylactics,·Social campaigns as elements of the HIV/AIDS prophylactics
12.HIV infected woman and problems of HIV infected children ·Problems of HIV infected women,·HIV infected woman and parenthood,·Children of HIV positive mothers and their problems .
13.Prevention of HIV transmissions, rules of counseling, post-exposition prophylactics. ·Counseling before test on presence of HIV virus antibodies.,·rules of post-exposition counseling,·counseling after the test.
14.Home-based care of people suffering from AIDS ·Society, family and the HIV infected and suffering from AIDS,·Home based care of the HIV infected and suffering from AIDS
15.Form of grading: oral, graded (non-exam form).

1. knows about sexual problems of adolescence, attitudes towards sexual education in schools and sexual pathologies.
2. uses a knowledge about psychosexual and erotic development in particular periods of human life.
3. describes symptoms, considerations of sexual initiation, sexual orientations and sexual pathology prevention.
SKILLS
1. explains principles of risky behaviours prevention among youth.
2. identifies sexual health problems in particular periods of human life and his own life.
3. makes proper choices, advantageous for health.
ATTITUDES
1. obeys rights of people HIV infected and suffering from AIDS.
2. develops skills of supporting people HIV infected and suffering from AIDS.
3. knows the value of social campaigns in HIV/AIDS prevention.
Assessment criteria
Non-exam form with note - based on participation in classes and oral exam (last classes)
