As part of the classes, students meet the requirements resulting from the regulation of the Minister of National Education of 30 March 2016 on the recreation of children and youth specifying the requirements of the recreation educator course program, which include issues in the scope of: legal aspects of organizing the recreation of children and youth, elements of developmental and educational psychology, organization of activities during the recreation; planning of care, educational and educational work, movement and recreation, tourism and sightseeing, cultural and educational activities, practical and technical activities, socially useful work, life safety and health of recreation participants.

Learning outcomes
In terms of knowledge, the student knows and understands:
- the regularities of a person's psychological, physical and social development, principles of activities in the field of addiction prevention and other problems of children and youth,
- the specific functioning of the educational environment, formal and informal groups, group processes, group dynamics, social roles, interpersonal communication processes,
- formal and legal conditions for performing the role of a recreation educator for children and youth,
- methods of supporting the development of children and youth with diverse educational needs,
- principles of organizing sports, cultural and tourism and sightseeing activities,
- ethical principles of performing the function of a recreation educator,
- principles of providing first aid,
- safety principles during recreation
- standards, procedures and good practices used in organizing recreation for children and youth.
In terms of skills, the student is able to:
- perform the function of a recreation educator for children and youth;
- prepare a work plan for a group of children or young people based on an analysis of the group's needs, adapted in terms of methodology and social and age needs,
- implement a work plan for a group of children or young people in accordance with the assumptions and conduct and develop an evaluation,
- play various roles in the team; cooperate with other entities,
- design and conduct sports, recreational and cultural activities;
- develop creativity and creativity of the students;
- provide first aid;
In terms of social competences, the student is ready to:
- critically assess their knowledge in the field of children's and young people's recreation and constantly improve their pedagogical skills;
- design their activities in the area of children's and young people's recreation using the knowledge of experts from various fields;
- cooperate with various entities in the area of organizing children's and young people's recreation;
- play various roles in the team of pedagogical staff of children's and young people's recreation;
- engage in activities aimed at meeting the educational needs of a given local community or a specific educational environment;
- responsible performance of the role of an educator in accordance with professional ethics, expressing one's own position while respecting different opinions,
- active participation in cultural and social life, showing concern for the culture of the language.
Assessment criteria
The condition for passing the subject and obtaining the qualifications is:
- passing the first aid course
- attending classes
- writing a test checking theoretical knowledge
- writing a work plan for a group on holiday (summer camp, day camp)
