Culture and education 2300-OSM/KE/2
The aim of the seminar is to prepare students to write a master's thesis on topics related to the cultural, contemporary contexts of education. Both theoretical and empirical works (based on qualitative research) are welcome.
Suggested thematic areas:
- pedagogies of resistance, artivism and social change;
- radical (critical) pedagogy and empowerment;
- anti-pedagogy and descholarization of societies;
- educational contexts of popular culture;
- posthumanist pedagogies.

Learning outcomes
The learning outcomes achieved during the Master's seminar are consistent with the major outcomes specified in the study programs for the individual majors
The student is able to:
- find and critically analyze scientific literature needed to write a Master's thesis;
- present their own theoretical or empirical research concept;
- defend their Master's thesis during seminars;
- develop research tools;
- conduct research and develop research results;
- write a thesis and pass the Master's exam.
Assessment criteria
- active participation in the seminar;
At the appropriate stages:
- presentation of the master's thesis concept (after the second semester);
- presentation of a critical analysis of the literature on the subject (after the second semester);
- discussion of the chapter of the master's thesis in the forum of the seminar group (during the third semester);
- submission of the thesis (at the end of the seminar).
