Prerequisites (description)

The course introduces students to theories and examples of art created in collaboration with communities, also known as participatory, community-based or relational art. It is complemented by analyses of artistic and cultural practices engaging local groups, fostering collaboration, dialogue, and shared authorship. Classes focus on collective reading, interpretation of texts, analysis of artistic case studies, and discussion of ethical, educational, and social dimensions of community-based art.
