Pervormative workshops and drama 2300-N-MD-ART-WPR
The program of workshops consists of two blocks:
I. Drama
The basis of the educational drama is using the role play during practical activities aimed at identifying and analyzing difficult pedagogical problems. During the course, students learn the theory and practice of educational drama. The workshops will address issues such as:
1. Sources and contexts of educational drama (psychological, sociological, anthropological contexts of drama).
2. Selected contemporary theories of drama - P. Slade, B. Williams, G. Bolton, D. Heatcote, and R. Bourtney.
3. Basic constitutive features and drama structure.
4. Constructing scenario in class using drama techniques adequate to the subject and problem.
II. Performance
1. Performance in the culture: social, artistic, linguistic, folk and popular performance.
2. Performance art
3.Performance as an experience: performer - viewer relationship. Performance as a source of knowledge.
4. Ways to use specific performative contexts in educational activities in the field of art.

Knowledge:
The student knows the sources and theory of drama, taking into account the interdisciplinary nature of the method
The student knows the basic components of the drama method and the principles of its use
The student characterizes the art of performance and explains the significance of the performative turn in contemporary culture
Skills:
The student critically analyzes the problems undertaken in the drama and argues views using the role play
The student applies dramatic techniques adequate to analyze the problems
The student develops an original drama project in relation to selected educational problems
The student critically analyzes artistic performative projects
The student designs and implements performative activities
Attitudes
The student is open to the analysis of difficult problems of the modern world
The student is ready to cooperate in a team respecting the views of other people
The student expresses his position and gives arguments in his defense, while maintaining respect and openness to other positions
Assessment criteria
Basis for passing the classes is active participation and designing an educational workshop using drama or performance
