Specialization module 4-Social and cultural animation and cultural institutions 2300-MS4-ASK
The module concerns the areas of animation activities and possible ways of cooperation with various institutions. The aim of the module is also to test the knowledge and skills acquired during the studies of the specialization of Cultural Animation and Informal, Non-Formal and Alternative Education, which is manifested in an independently prepared, implemented and evaluated project. Students in the module will become familiar with the ways of learning about the social environment, theoretical assumptions of taking action, the functioning of institutions in the area of culture and civil society, as well as the background and aspects of cultural activities.

The student knows:
- specific conditions of functioning of groups and individuals with different social needs and resulting methods of diagnosing and supporting development (S2_W05),
- history, culture and conditions of functioning of institutions within culture and civil society (S2_W06),
- legal and ethical conditions of animation activities in various social and cultural areas (S2_W08)
The student is able to:
- analyze selected theories of social action and indicate their connections with practical action (S2_U01),
- use various sources of information appropriate to a given area of animation activities (S2_U02),
- notice opportunities to expand knowledge and skills concerning the functioning of institutions within culture and civil society (S2_U03),
- design, conduct and evaluate an animation project in a large team (S2_U05),
- plan their further professional development path indicating areas in which they plan to develop (S2_U06),
- plan and organize work team, assigning tasks responsibly and appropriately to the capabilities of individual people, cooperating with other entities, cooperating with others as a member of the team (S2_U07), taking on various roles in the project team.
The student is ready to:
- evaluate the projects they have implemented, draw constructive conclusions for future animation work (S2_K01),
- use the knowledge of experts from various fields when designing activities in the area of socio-cultural animation, informal, non-formal and alternative education (S2_K02),
- act independently to organize the local environment, cooperate with various entities operating in the area of the third sector (S2_K03),
- establish a non-governmental organization working to meet the needs of a given local community or a specific educational environment (S2_K04),
- comply with the professional ethics of an animator and educator in the area of non-formal education during the activities undertaken (S2_K05),
- present an appropriate attitude during activities in the area of animation and informal, non-formal and alternative education (S2_K06).
Assessment criteria
The student receives a grade for each subject within the module (it is not entered into USOS - only for internal settlements). The form of crediting individual subjects is determined by the instructors. The second component is the grade for the preparation and implementation of the project developed as part of the Theory of Social Action classes.

The grade for the exam consists of grades for individual subjects within the module and the grade for the completed project.
The project is to be prepared jointly by the entire group, and its implementation is to take place in the summer semester. The project is presented to a committee consisting of people conducting the components of the module and students of the specialization.
The condition for issuing a grade for the project is: participation in planning and preparation of the project (detailed assignment of tasks), presence during the implementation of the project, submission of an individual final report (planned tasks, completed tasks, evaluation of the project effects, conclusions).
