MS3 - Areas and conditions of animation and non-formal education 2300-MS3-AKN
As part of the module, the student carries out courses on the use of animation and non-formal and informal education in various areas; among others: as part of cultural education, intercultural and multicultural animation, in working with excluded environments. Analyzes job opportunities in various cultural institutions and civil society and learns the principles of social communication and the theoretical conditions of social activities that will be verified in practice.

Learning outcomes
The student knows:
- specific conditions for the functioning of groups and individuals with different social needs and the resulting methods of diagnosing and supporting development,
- history, culture and conditions of functioning of institutions within culture and civil society,
- legal and ethical conditions of animation activity in various social and cultural areas
The student is able to:
- analyze selected theories of social action and point to their connections with practical action,
- use various sources of information appropriate for a given area of animation activity,
- see the possibilities of expanding knowledge and skills related to the functioning of institutions within culture and civil society,
- design, in a large team, conduct and evaluate an animation project,
- plan your further career development path, indicating areas in which you plan to develop,
- plan and organize team work responsibly and appropriately to the abilities of individual people by assigning tasks, cooperate with other entities, interact with others as a team member, assume various roles in the project team.
The student is ready to:
- evaluation of implemented projects, drawing constructive conclusions for future animation work,
- using the knowledge of experts from various fields when designing activities in the field of socio-cultural animation, informal, non-formal and alternative education,
- independent action to organize the local environment, cooperation with various entities operating in the area of the third sector,
- establishing a non-governmental organization operating to meet the needs of a given local community or a specific educational environment,
- observing the professional ethics of an animator and educator in the field of non-formal education during undertaken activities,
- presenting an appropriate attitude during activities in the area of animation and informal, non-formal and alternative education.
Assessment criteria
For each subject within the module, the student receives a grade (not entered in the USOS - only for internal settlements). The form of getting credit for individual subjects is determined by the lecturers. The second component is the assessment of the preparation and implementation of the project developed as part of the Theory of social action.
The exam grade consists of grades from individual subjects within the module and the grade from the completed project.
The project is to be prepared together by the whole group, and its implementation will take place in the summer semester. The project is presented to the committee consisting of the persons leading the components of the module and the students of the specialization.
The condition for issuing a project grade is: participation in project planning and preparation (detailed task assignment), presence during project implementation, sending an individual final report (planned tasks, completed tasks, evaluation of project effects, conclusions).
