The student will learn:
1) basic concepts of vocational counselling and the labour market
2) current situation on the labour market, and the trends for the future along with the factors determining these trends.
3) institutions providing vocational counselling
4) basic conceptions of choosing a career
5) professional tasks, conditions of work, roles performed by an employee and the culture of the workplace
6) how to find a job offer which is adjusted to his/her capabilities and ambitions? how to prepare the application documents? how to prepare for the interview?
7) situation of the employee in the workplace
8) models of the assessment of the professional competences

Skills: The student
1. will know how to find a job offer which is adjusted to his/her capabilities and ambitions, how to prepare the application documents, prepare for the interview and formulate the conclusions leading to improving the process of seeking employment.S1_U12
2. will acquire the rudimentary skills of a vocational counsellor. S1_U13
3.will able to analyse the situation of the employee in the workplace,
4. will formulate the conclusions on how to improve that situation and indicate the appropriate model of the assessment of the professional competences S1_U13

Assessment criteria
Each student prepares a portfolio of assessment tools which the student has selected and used to diagnose and describe his/her own professional competences.
