DRŚ-Social Policy 2300-MS2-DRŚ-PSa
As part of the course, students become acquainted with a wide range of issues related to social policy, such as:
definitions, genesis of creation, main models of social policy; goals of social development; social policy and economic policy; demographic determinants of social policy; needs and their diagnosis; living conditions as a sphere of social policy; social security - idea and development; social issues and social security; poverty and social assistance; labor market and unemployment; health issue, health protection and health insurance; housing issue; social policy in the local dimension; social policy in the European Union.
Social policy classes show students by using a variety of teaching methods, emerging social problems and issues both in the micro, meso and macro scale, emphasizing the possibility of solving them.

KNOWLEDGE
- knows the basic terminology in the field of social policy, its genesis
- can name and indicate differences between individual models of social policy
- knows basic strategies, mechanisms and tools in various areas of social policy such as social security, health care, labor market and unemployment, poverty, social assistance, housing issues and family policy. Indicates the interaction between them.
SKILLS
- is able to critically analyze strategies, programs and individual actions in the field of social policy
- can apply knowledge about social policy in planning help for children and families, knows what social policy instruments can be used in working with children and families
- is able to name and perceive various forms of the impact of social policy in its own environment.
- explains the role of social policy in building a social order

- demonstrates respect for the principle of social solidarity
- can discuss group discussions and work in a group
- is aware of the scope of their knowledge and skills and their significance in helping a child and a family
