The goal of the classes is to acquire and improve negotiating skills and develop ways of dealing with conflict situations. Students are familiarised with basic issues related to negotiation, such as typical negotiation errors, strategy selection, choice of negotiation techniques and tactics and application of effective defence against them. Moreover, students get acquainted with typical and effective techniques of dealing with conflict situations.

Knowledge
The student:
1. is familiar with basic terminology related to the issues of negotiation and conflict resolution in educational situations
2. knows communication barriers and negotiation errors in the training situation
3. is familiar with the principles of effective negotiation using negotiation techniques and tactics
4. knows how to solve interpersonal and group conflicts
Skills
The student:
1. is able to apply the acquired knowledge in conducting effective negotiations in educational practice
2. is able to apply appropriate techniques to resolve interpersonal and group problems
3. is able to analyse conflict and negotiation situations and propose optimal solutions
Social competencies
The student:
1. ma poczucie odpowiedzialności za przebieg procesów negocjacyjnych i konfliktów w sytuacjach edukacyjnych
Assessment criteria
The requirement for passing the course by students is 100% participation in workshop classes.
