Professional practice in a non-governmental organization 2300-MPRJ-PR
The subject "Practice in a non-governmental organization" is used to develop professional competences of students in the real environment of third sector institutions. The internships are carried out in selected non-governmental organizations or local activity centers (CAL, MAL, CAS). Their aim is to enable students to learn about the specifics of civic institutions and gain experience in conducting animation, educational and social activities.
During the internship, students become familiar with the organization of work of a given institution, its structure, documentation, statutory goals and implemented projects. They observe activities carried out for the benefit of social groups and participate in selected activities. After consultation with the internship supervisor, they prepare and implement their own educational activities - most often in the form of workshops, local events or animation activities.
The internship is conducive to developing teamwork skills, communication with recipients, planning activities and their documentation and evaluation. Participants learn to analyze their own activities, assess their effectiveness and use the tools of pedagogical reflection. The internship prepares for conscious functioning in alternative and non-formal education environments.
The condition for passing the subject is to provide a certificate of completion of the internship, keep documentation and prepare a portfolio documenting the course and effects of the internship. The subject implements standards D.2 – professional internships.
