The following topics are covered in the workshops:
1. Presentation of the structure and operation of the respiratory, phonatory and articulatory apparatus from the perspective of their optimal use in professional voice work.
2. Exercises in the appropriate body posture for speaking.
3. Developing the ability to relax the areas of the body responsible for voice creation.
4. Breathing exercises: diaphragmatic-costal breathing, respiratory support, lengthening and equalizing the exhalation phase.
5. Phonation exercises: soft sound attack, use of resonators.
6. Articulation exercises.
7. Work on speech technique.
8. Work with text.
9. Voice as a tool for the teacher's work. Elements of self-presentation.

KNOWLEDGE - student:
- knows and discusses the mechanisms of voice creation;
- knows and discusses the structure of the speech organ and the way of creating speech sounds.
- knows and lists relaxation, breathing, phonation and articulation exercises;
- knows and lists the indications and contraindications for working with the voice, performing breathing and voice exercises;
- knows and lists the principles of maintaining proper vocal hygiene;
- knows the relationships between mental and physical processes that affect individual voice quality;
SKILLS - student:
- recognizes emission habits;
- recognizes phonetic contexts that differentiate the degree of difficulty of pronouncing a text;
- modifies incorrect emission and articulation habits;
- presents relaxation, breathing, phonation and articulation exercises;
- assesses the correctness and aesthetics of spoken language statements;
- shapes his/her statements in accordance with the high standard of spoken language;
SOCIAL COMPETENCES - student:
- is aware of the complexity of problems related to voice emission and the impact of its disorder on communication and the aesthetics of the statement;
- accepts differences resulting from individual vocal abilities and possibilities;
- is aware of the complexity of human anatomy and physiology, including the complexity of the voice phenomenon;
- promotes patterns of healthy voice use.
Assessment criteria
-active participation in classes.
-systematic evaluation of work on voice emission through the implementation of exercises that improve the functioning of the vocal apparatus
-knowledge of basic issues related to the structure and functioning of the vocal organ
-preparation of a selected literary text for public speaking
