Modern Education Module 2300-MNN
The aim of the module is to familiarize students with both classical didactics and new trends in contemporary didactics. The thematic scope of the module includes general issues, reaching for issues of primary didactics. These include the cultural-evolutionary origins of school education, and next to it a look at human nature along with emerging didactic orientations. They create a map that organizes thinking about education. Selected didactic positions are analyzed against this background, along with dilemmas concerning the school as an educational institution. The module is supplemented by issues of selected components of teacher's instruments and modern methods, techniques and didactic tools. Students will become familiar with the principles of creating a didactic process in accordance with STEAM requirements and with the possibilities of using new technologies in didactics. Additionally, they will learn techniques of proper voice emission. As part of the module classes, students will acquire and develop skills that determine the possibility of carrying out pedagogical tasks in conditions of real social interaction, including: communication adequate to the level of development of students, supporting cognitive development, shaping motivation to learn, the ability to notice educational problems, shaping the social competences of the student. The following topics will be discussed learning difficulties: the efficiency aspect (remembering, processing and selecting information, directing attention and setting a goal, planning and monitoring the learning process); motivational and subjective aspect (motivation in learning, stress and educational failures, learning strategies); regulatory aspect (setting a goal, planning and controlling the learning process).
