How to use psychology to improve efficiency at work in educational environment? 2300-KJO-43/HUP
The goal of the course is to implement konwledge of social, emotional and cognitive processes involved in learning to improve the learning process. The main focus will be on teaching methods, the instructional process and analysis of various learning outcomes.This course will show, through current research, how we learn and how we can improve learning process of students. We will examine common misconceptions and misunderstandings about learning that can prevent students from learning at their fullest capacity. Along the way you will explore the practical implications of cognitive science for classroom teaching in terms of choosing effective instructional strategies, developing useful assessments, motivating student effort, and designing learner-centered curricular units. We will also deal with various factors that facilitate or limit school performance such as social status, academic resilience or personality variables.
