By the end of the course students will:
 understand what specific topics should be discussed within the portfolio areas
 know how to use the concept of portfolio in their professional development
 know how to cooperate with other teachers in order to enhance their professional
development
 understand how important it is to observe others and be observed while teaching
 know how to draw conclusions from these observations
 know techniques which foster self-reflection
Skills
By the end of the course students will be able to:
 identify their strengths
 use their own resources in order to become a better teacher
 identify which areas of their professional activity are still demanding for them
 prepare an action plan in order to minimalize their limitations
 cooperate with other teachers in order to improve their teaching skills
 assess their own actions undertaken in a classroom and correct them if necessary
Methods and assessment criteria:
1. Active participation
2. Individual meeting with the instructor in order to discuss a student’s portfolio
3. One absence allowed
