(in Polish) Metody badań w animacji społeczno-kulturalnej 2300-EAL-MM-MBA
The seminar introduces participants to the basic issues in qualitative research methodology. Issues addressed include the benefits and risks of choosing a qualitative paradigm; the nature of qualitative research including the role of the researcher; the procedure for collecting qualitative data; selected research methods; analysis of collected data, including computer-assisted qualitative data analysis; and presenting research findings.

Learning outcomes
In terms of knowledge, the student knows and understands:
• the differences between quantitative and qualitative research and their applications [K1_W01]
• basic concepts, methods and procedures of research methodology in social sciences [K1_W01]
• specifics of research in socio-cultural animation [K1_W03]
• basic models of data analysis and criteria for their selection[K1_W03]
In terms of skills, the student is able to:
• formulate a research problem, questions and hypotheses [K1_U06]
• select an appropriate research method for a given problem [K1_U06]
• design and conduct a small-scale social survey (qualitative) [K1_U06]
• analyze the obtained research data [K1_U06]
In terms of social competence, the student(s):
• is able to cooperate in a group, share tasks and take [K1_K05]
• responsibility for their completion [K1_K05]
• respects the principles of research ethics, including anonymity and confidentiality of data [K1_K05]
• is open to constructive criticism and ready to modify his/her own research activities [K1_K01]
